IDEA (Interdisciplinary Data Exploration & Analytics) Team
What happens when liberal arts, math, and computer science students tackle problems together? That’s what the Interdisciplinary Data Exploration & Analytics (IDEA) Team is built to find out. Guided by experts, you’ll dig into large-scale, real-world datasets using cutting-edge tools like AI and machine learning, while gaining skills, sharper critical thinking, and a professional network.
Media Team
Work in a real media operation where students own the process; from researching and scripting to editing and hosting the Marist Poll’s podcast. You’ll also help shape the Poll’s social media presence. Be part of a creative and tight-knit team with responsibility and gain skills in collaboration, leadership, and communication.
Business & Marketing Team
The Business & Marketing Team is where strategy meets execution. Working with the Poll’s client services director, you’ll collaborate with real clients across private and nonprofit sectors — helping develop, plan, and manage survey projects. Come away with better critical thinking, sharper communication skills, and strong professional instincts.
Survey Center Team
The Survey Center Team is a great entry point into the Marist Poll community. You’ll receive hands-on training in the art and science of standardized interviewing and be supported by more experienced students who’ve been in your shoes. Grow with your role and take on higher-level management roles. Build real professional habits and make great connections in a fun environment!
Data Team
Do you love numbers, patterns, and attention to detail? Students on the Data Team are involved in every stage of the research process — from finding compelling poll topics and crafting questions to running methodological analysis. Build technical skills, sharpen your critical thinking, and learn what it takes to produce research people notice.
