President Biden’s Job Approval Rating at New Low

36% of Americans approve of the job President Joe Biden is doing in office, marking Biden’s lowest approval score of his presidency. Biden’s approval rating is down from 40% at the end of June and has slipped two points from his previous low of 38% earlier that month.

The president’s approval rating among Democrats has declined 9 percentage points, 84% to 75%, since last month. Nearly one in five Democrats (18%) disapproves of how Biden is doing his job, an increase since the last poll when he had a negative score of 11% among this group.

Americans are nearly four times as likely to strongly disapprove (43%) of how Biden is doing his job than strongly approve (11%).
