Kerry leads the field: Massachusetts Senator John Kerry leads his rivals among likely voters for the New Hampshire Democratic primary in a two-day poll conducted Sunday and Monday. Including voters who are leaning towards a candidate, Kerry leads his closest opponent former Vermont Governor Howard Dean by 11 points. There is a statistical tie among the next three finishers, North Carolina Senator John Edwards, retired General Wesley Clark, and Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman. Congressman Dennis Kucinich and Reverend Al Sharpton trail.

Including voters who are leaning towards a candidate, Kerry leads his closest rival former Vermont Governor Howard Dean by 13 points. Retired General Wesley Clark, North Carolina Senator John Edwards, and Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman are in a statistical tie for third place. The other candidates, Congressman Dennis Kucinich and Reverend Al Sharpton trail.

New York: Presidential Campaign 2004

26% of New York State Democrats are undecided in their preference for their party’s presidential nominee. Former Vermont Governor Howard Dean has the support of 26% of the state’s registered Democrats and leads each of his rivals by more than 2:1. Among the remaining candidates, only Senator Joseph Lieberman and retired General Wesley Clark have double-digit support.

How the Democratic Field Shapes Up: Former Vermont Governor Howard Dean has a wide lead over his Democratic rivals for the 2004 New Hampshire Democratic Presidential Primary. 44% of likely Democratic primary voters support Dean followed by 23% for Senator John Kerry. The other candidates trail with single digits including retired General Wesley Clark whose support has declined since a similar poll conducted in September.

Democratic Presidential Primary 2004: 23% of New York State Democrats are undecided in their preference for their party’s presidential nominee. Senator Joseph Lieberman no longer leads the crowded field of Democratic candidates in New York. Former Vermont Governor Howard Dean has the support of 18% of the state’s registered Democrats, followed by Senator Joseph Lieberman with 16%, 14% for retired General Wesley Clark, and 10% for Congressman Richard Gephardt.
