5/21: Big Apple: Big Fun?

5/21: Big Apple: Big Fun?

Think summer.  Think vacation.  Think closer to home?  A plurality of Americans — 46% — view New York City as an excellent or good place to visit or vacation.  But, call them biased, the numbers are bolstered by Northeasterners.  63% of Americans who live in the region see the Big Apple as a potential vacation destination.

Nationwide, a majority of parents consider New York City to be on the list of places to visit.  51% of parents are intrigued by the sights of the city compared with 46% of Americans as a whole.

It’s also for the young at heart and those with a bit more cash to spend.  A majority of Americans younger than forty-five years old — 56% — say New York would be a nice place to visit.  53% of residents who earn fifty thousand dollars or more a year share this view.  However, only 39% of those forty-five or older and 43% of those earning less than fifty thousand dollars annually agree.

NYC is a great place to visit! Dos Caminos is some of the best mexican food you can find in NYC and is a definite must. I also enjoyed central park and the museum of Modern Art.

Summer time in NYC can be so beautiful. It has been years since I last visited. The city has so much energy. My current location has over 3 million people and still the energy in NYC is astounding. One of my favorite things to do was grab a breakfast calzone from a corner shop bakery and eat it at scenic central park.

I hope that this summer I will finally be able to realize my dream and finally visit NY. I’ve been to Boston and Atlanta on business but I was always dreaming visiting the big apple. I can’t wait.

Wow the statistics are astounding. It has always been a dream to visit the beautiful Big Apple. Not only does it look splendid but also seems like the perfect destination. Working on a tight schedule post recession, hoping to get some money by next fall. My kids are gonna love it.

Yikes! Parents thing the Big Apple is a great place to visit?!?! What about all the crime? The trash? Honestly, while everyone that I know who has visited New York City says it was nice; I know of no one who would go back. But, hey, to each his own.

    Just my 2 cents

I’ve always wanted to visit New York. I’m from England and I’m going there early next year for a week. It’ll be cool to checkout some of the places I’ve seen in the films. Hopefully it should be a good holiday. 🙂
