– 32% of U.S. residents, including 39% of employed residents, have a profile on a social networking website.

– 59% of Americans under the age of 45 network online while 14% of those 45 or older do the same.

    Im suprised the figures arent higher? I bet if you used it as a percentage of all users with internet access, rather than all americans it would be quite a bit higher. I think that 3D worlds like the Xbox Live Avatar system will be the next big “social” networking.

    Twitter is now 5 years old. As a social networking site with a limit 140 characters for every tweet, they have surpassed all the ridicule of many. Does the Marist Poll include data from Twitter?
