Voters to tune in: Most voters plan on watching at least some of the Democratic and Republican conventions this summer. 65% of the national electorate plans to tune in next week to the Democrats in Boston. 60% of voters plan to watch the Republicans next month.

One week before the start of the Democratic Convention, John Kerry and George Bush are tightly matched nationwide among registered voters. Kerry has the support of 45% of the national electorate compared with 44% for Bush. Ralph Nader receives 2%, and 9% are undecided. In the 17 battleground states, Kerry receives the support of 47% of registered voters and Bush receives 42%.
